Images, Proof & Evidence Uploads
Exactly what the main image and proof-image controls do, accepted image types, limits and what never to upload.
Website and software-product forms include a Media step. The main image and proof images have different purposes.
Main Featured Image / Thumbnail
- Required for a new standard website/software-product listing.
- Shown as the listing thumbnail.
- The file control accepts image files; the UI specifically describes PNG, JPG or WebP.
- When editing a listing that already has a main image, the existing image is kept unless you choose a replacement.
Proof Images
- Optional.
- The interface supports multiple proof-image selection and notes up to 8 at once with a 5 MB each guideline.
- Use them for traffic screenshots, payment/revenue evidence, dashboards, product screens, ownership evidence or other review material.
- The uploader shows previews and lets you remove newly selected images before submission.
Private evidence
Proof images are evidence for the Sitehix workflow; do not assume every proof item is intended to be publicly displayed. Follow the live listing/privacy state.
Never upload secrets
Do not upload passwords, API keys, one-time codes, banking credentials, domain EPP/authorization codes, private customer databases or recovery codes. Redact unrelated personal or confidential information before uploading evidence.
